Spatial Sound Forum 2026: Open call now live!

by Hannah Deans -

From All Sides, Catalyst’s annual Spatial Sound Forum, returns 5–7 March 2026 and the open call for submissions is officially open.

This year’s edition brings together students, alumni, professionals and partners to explore the creative, technical and cultural edges of spatial audio. Through performances, installations, talks and experiments, the forum aims to strengthen Berlin’s spatial sound community and highlight spatial audio as a space for learning, exchange and innovation.

Our 2026 theme, Gradients of Ma, considers the subtle shifts between sound and silence, but responding to the theme is optional. You’re welcome to submit any work you’re currently developing.

We’re inviting proposals for:

  • Live spatial performances
  • Pre-recorded multichannel compositions
  • Sound or media installations
  • Workshops, talks or demonstrations

If you have a project, idea or piece you’d like to share, we want to hear from you.

Join us in shaping this year’s Spatial Sound Forum!
