Catalyst is filled with talented drummers, whether it’s with sticks, fingers, samples, or synths, there is a deep groove pulsing through us. This inaugural meeting is to join together through the power of rhythm. No matter what genre, tempo, style, gear, or experience level, if you’re interested in electronic percussion and community, then this is the place for you.

Anyone who is interested in the intersection between electronic music and percussion. This includes MIDI controllers, drum machines/synthesizers, fingerdrumming, e-drumming, or even experimental recording techniques for acoustic drums. Any style, experience level, genre, or ability level is welcome.

Cordele Glass is an international electronic percussion performer and sound designer. Currently ranked 3rd in the world at the latest Fingerdrumming World Championships, Cordele merges experimental sound design from styles like IDM, Dubstep, and Drum & Bass with physical drumming— using both fingers and with sticks. Cordele has a background in competitive marching percussion and jazz performance which has evolved into using advanced Ableton sound design, a collection of MIDI controllers, and a whole lot of imagination.
