The Room with a Boom: An Acousmonium Performance

You're warmly invited to join the Creative Production (Music) Master's students for the culmination of a three-day workshop on the Acousmonium - an orchestra of loudspeakers designed for the spatial projection of sound.

Led by tutors Andrea Parkins and Doron Sadja, the workshop spans five rooms in the upstairs Colours space, activating the architectural and acoustic dimensions of the building itself. The rooms have been filled with speakers, and students will perform works that treat sound as a material shaped by space, movement and listening. This open presentation invites you to move through the environment and experience sound as something immersive, physical and spatially alive.
