To celebrate the 87th day of the year, we are hosting an all-day takeover at Funkhaus Berlin. Combining the intimacy of an NPR Tiny Desk-style session with a live social reception, this is a day to connect and experiment within our very own K4 and P2 studios.
We are looking for performers, composers, and behind-the-scenes collaborators to help us bring this vision to life. All participating artists will receive high-quality audio and video recordings of their work.
🎹 Submit HERE - Deadline 20 March
We are currently casting for:
- K4 Studio: Live performers for 30-minute streamed sets on our baby grand.
- P2 Studio: Composers to showcase MIDI-based works on the Disklavier.
- Helping Hands: Enthusiastic volunteers to support our technical and guest teams.
/// Call-out
To celebrate Piano Day this year, we're organising an all-day onsite event consisting of two rooms; K4 and P2.
K4 Studio - Baby Grand Piano
We're looking for two artists to complete the line-up in our K4 Room. A set of 30 mins is required which will be streamed live as part of international PD celebrations. Please submit anything you feel is appropriate and can be played on a baby grand piano, along with a stereo channel of audio (laptop etc.).
P2 Studio - Diskalvier
We're looking for artists who have composed pieces with the Disklavier to send in pieces that can be used to showcase this wonderful instrument in P2. The idea is to have the artists send in MIDI files and accompanying audio files so this can be an ongoing circle of installations that happen throughout the day in Studio P2.
Helping Hands - Volunteer
We are looking for help in the studios alongside technicians and artists. This can include moving equipment or helping support our guests. Use the form below to let us know if you'd like to help from behind the scenes.
