Dear Students,
It seems there is good news, and bad news. The good news is that the infection rates are reducing across Germany and in Berlin. The bad news is that it was decided yesterday to continue the current lockdown until at least mid February, with the goal of reaching an incidence of 50 / 100,000 in each district.
This lockdown extension means that our current operating measures will be extended until the 14th of February.
We will continue offering classes online with the exception of practical lessons which can not take place in the virtual space.
We will be increasing the number of bookable hours you each have for room bookings by 50% until Feb 15th.
Please see my previous email for all other regulations and rules which continue to apply at Catalyst.
The biggest change in the extension is that cloth masks will no longer be acceptable within the building. You must now wear either a surgical mask (available in the tech shop at cost for 50 cents) or a FFP2 / KN95 mask. Please note that FFP2 masks with a vent are not allowed, as these provide protection to the wearer only and not to others. Here is a link for general information on masks and decontamination.
You can find more information on the current measures on this link, Corona Measures.
