Semester A Grades & Resits

Hi all,

Just a note to say MARJON (University of St Mark and St John, who accredit our courses), confirmed all your Semester A grades at their recent Examination Board.

These results will also now appear on your MARJON Learning Space profile. These parallel your grades on the Catalyst Moodle however, so there's no particular need to check these at the moment. Login details for the MARJON site were sent at the beginning of your course with us (searching your student email account for 'MARJON Login' should find this if forgotten (the same details used to access MARJON's online library).

3rd years: please be aware, once Semester B results have been confirmed by MARJON in summer, your final degree classifications (1st, 2:1 etc) will be available on their site at this link (this will not be until later in the year though), we will contact you directly then to let you know when they are available.

Resits and Deferrals:
Those who, failed (below a 40 / 50 for MA students), were informed they would need to resit due to plagiarism, or deferred (due to Extenuating Circumstances, also know as uncapped resits to some) Sem A module(s), please keep reading.

You will shortly be receiving an email from our Administration email address, outlining details of the resit opportunities open to you. Please check this carefully so you are aware what is required.

Please note: MARJON have instigated a Safety Net policy for Sem A that means if you received between 30-39 (40-49 for MA students), then these result can be condoned and you do not necessarily need to complete these resits. However, the option has still been sent to you since you can choose to resit for a higher mark (capped at the pass mark). If this applies to you, the resit email makes mention of this.

This Safety Net does not apply to:
- Those who received marks below this (0-29 [0-39 for MA]).
- Were informed they would need to resit due to
plagiarism.
- Those who deferred assessments due to Extenuating Circumstances.
You will need to complete these in order to progress or receive awards in line with your course registration.

If you are in any doubt about the resit information, please reach out to me at administration@catalyst-berlin.com.

All the best and stay safe,
Alex
