Hi Everyone.

With an increasing infection scenario in Berlin the state has released new regulations which have significant impact on our operations. The new measures rely heavily on business and organizations using testing to ensure that customers, clients, and also students in educational institutions are not carrying the corona virus.

As of March 31st the following regulations apply.

Students

  1. Until April 12th students must present a negative test which is no more than 24 hours old from any of the free testing centres. The negative test result must be under the student's name and authentic. ID’s may be checked.

  2. Rapid antigen self-tests will be implemented on campus for all classes and bookings from April 12th.. These tests will be available to each person max twice a week under the supervision of a member of the Catalyst team.

  3. Anytime there is a gathering of more than 5 people negative test results are required from all members of the gathering. This applies to film and music productions outside and inside the campus.

  4. FFP2 masks must now be worn. Surgical masks are no longer accepted. We have ordered these and they will be available for purchase at cost (aprox. 2 euros / mask) from early next week.

Artists and Crew

  1. All artists and crew members must present a negative test which is no more than 24 hours old from any of the free testing centres.

  2. On site rapid antigen testing will not be available for artists or crew members.

If you are looking for more information from the state of Berlin you can find it HERE

I would like to appeal to each of you to use the free testing centres across the city, they can be found HERE even when we have a self test strategy in place. The rapid antigen self tests are going to strain our capacities in continuing to deliver our services to each of you and we appreciate any solidarity in ensuring we keep our community safe.

Please note that these new regulations have been put in place very quickly and most business' (including us) are scrambling to adjust to implement them. We expect that the situation will continue to change and will be looking to improve this process and make it as simple as possible for everyone.
