/// About
Khalik's film and photography work has been described as "street opera", simultaneously visceral, hauntingly beautiful and penetrative. During the masterclass, he will discuss his creative practice and approach to storytelling through his work. This is an incredible opportunity to learn from a talented artist whose work has been showcased in renowned festivals such as CHP:DOX, Sheffield International Documentary Festival, Cinéma du Réel and Viennale. Khalik's passion for photography began by photographing the Wu-Tang Clan with his dad's borrowed camera, and his work has gone beyond street photography to create a vibrant street opera that gives voice to those who never have it. In 2021 he became a nominated member of Magnum, whose Parisian gallery he inaugurated with Bruce Davidson.
The event is free of charge, and open to everyone. Register at the link provided to secure your spot today.
As part of the Khalik Allah European Tour, he will be presenting his films at KODEX Documentary Film Festival and giving a practical photography workshop from February 12–16. For more information about the workshop, please contact workshopkodex@gmail.com.
Don't miss out on this unforgettable evening with Khalik Allah!
