This extracurricular course invites you to explore how you relate to yourself, to others and to the situations you face in your creative and everyday life. Through guided exercises, discussion and reflection, you’ll develop greater awareness of how you make decisions, communicate and take responsibility, particularly in collaborative and leadership contexts.
Rather than focusing on leadership as a set of techniques, the course looks at leadership as a practice that shows up in how you listen, speak, commit and act. You’ll work with real situations from your own life and creative practice, and experiment with new ways of responding to challenges, uncertainty and collaboration.
The course has been delivered internationally for many years under the title Being a Leader & the Effective Exercise of Leadership. It has been taken by people from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines, and is designed to be accessible whether or not you see yourself as a “leader”.
